Case Study - Parkers "The Parts People"

The parts people are one of the UK's leading distributors of replacement car parts and car spares for all makes of cars and light commercials. Parkers were founded in 1924 and therefore have over 80 years experience of supplying quality replacement car parts.  They are also able to offer a comprehensive range of car accessories from world renowned suppliers such as Thule, Mont Blanc, Coleman and Gelert to name a few.  Their overriding strength is the ability to supply from stock for all makes of cars, quality car parts and spares from quality OE manufacturers, many of whom are already manufacturing for all the main brands of car suppliers.

What was the brief?

We were contacted by Robin Parker of Parkers Parts to design and produce a range of merchandise to be used as giveaways to their trade clients.  We were also asked to create a logo/character design for use within this merchandise brief and also to be used throughout the Parkers corporate identity such as signage and vehicle livery.

What did we do?

We initially provided preliminary visuals based on the brief to which we worked closely with Parkers to adjust and amend accordingly.  The initial range of merchandise included pens, mouse mats, mugs, notepads and coasters to which we bespoked each product in keeping with the Parkers theme.

We put forward an idea of utilising our 'aqua' mouse mats to include an oil like substance with floating phone numbers and contact details.  All parties were especially very happy with the final result on this part of the brief.

We then went on to produce the 'character' logo in various guises to represent key personnel within Parkers who now utilise them within their email signatures.  The character has also been utilised on the new van livery which we are very proud of - every time we see a Parkers van, it brings a smile to our faces!
